BLB Advisory Ltd is a new restructuring, turnaround and insolvency specialist that has opened up in Coventry to help support SMEs and Owner Managed Businesses that are facing challenging times.
Managing Director, Brett Barton, set up this practice specifically to work with businesses in the Coventry & Warwickshire area that may need more dynamic and cost effective support. Working as an Insolvency Practitioner since 1995, Brett more recently left his role as a Partner at a national practice in order to be able to support businesses that he felt weren’t getting the right help they needed.
Brett says, “I had a great experience at the larger practice, but sometimes I felt that I wasn’t able to offer smaller companies the right level of support. I am delighted to be back in Coventry again and look forward to connecting with local business owners across the whole region without constraint. My team are experienced and well placed to offer businesses flexible help in a more dynamic way. Being able to support businesses when they’re going through a tough time has always been a top priority for me.”
Throughout his career, Brett has always taken an active role in insolvency, staying abreast of trends and volunteering with his regulator, and he has been participating on various committees of the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA) for over 10 years. He says, “Although day to day my focus is to work with owner managed businesses and to connect with them at a regional level, being on a committee of the IPA means that I can still easily stay in touch with what’s happening within the world of insolvency at a national level. This means I am consistently able to provide my clients with the best advice and guidance, whatever their needs, whilst also being able to understand their specific business requirements.”
